SMUD has officially announced that the upfront battery incentive is being reduced from up to $10,000 down to $6,000 starting September 23. By submitting your qualification request now, care.green will lock in your eligibility under the current $10,000 tier before the reduction takes effect.
Eligible SMUD homeowners receive up to $10,000 upfront towards a 2-battery system (estimated at up to $5,000 per battery / $500 per kWh) through SMUD's My Energy Optimizer® Partner+ program.
